Alice Goodrich

Mrs. Alice Marie ""Unger"" Goodrich, age 84, of Fairview, MI, formerly of Saginaw, MI, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at her home in Fairview.Alice was born on January 31, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan to Claude and Della (Mason) Unger. She married Delos ""Dayton"" Goodrich on May 22, 1948 in Saginaw.   The couple were members of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saginaw.  They were also members of a snowmobile club:  ""The Michigan Snow Goers"".   Alice was also a member of a local card club in Saginaw, as well as a bowler on several leagues.  She enjoyed travelling and spending winters in St. Augustine and Moore Haven, Florida, where she was a member of the Red Hat Society.  The couple spent their summers in Fairview, MI since 1989, and attended St. Mary Catholic Church in Mio, MI. Alice is survived by her husband Del ""Dayton"" Goodrich; her children:  Kathy Lockwood of Saginaw, MI; Vicky (Pat) Hall of Ashdown, AR; and Butch (Tammy) Goodrich of Fairview, MI; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.  Alice was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.Visitation Monday, July 11, 2011 from 1-5 and from 6-9 PM at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7 PM offered by St. Mary Parish. On Tuesday, July 12, 2011, Alice will lie in state from 10 AM until the Service of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mio, with Fr. Larry Sergott officiating.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview, MI.Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Michigan-Alpena, 112 W.
