Alfred W. Dennis

Alfred W. Dennis, age 84, of Fairview, MI, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Munson Medical Center, Traverse City.

Alfred was born in Attica, Michigan on January 16, 1935, a son of the late Florence (Bidelman) and Wellington Dennis and stepmotherTina Dennis. He served his country in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. Alfred had worked as Die Setter for General Motors. He retired and settling in Fairview. He loved cutting wood, running his tractor, hunting, his horses and being outdoors. He also enjoyed having coffee with his buddies at the Coffee Shop. He was a member of Michigan Trail Riders for 28 years, serving on the board for 27 years.

Surviving are his wife Marilyn Jean (Smith) Dennis, children: Michael D. (Cindy) Dennis and Tammy L. (Jeremiah) Babcock; brother Gilbert (Shirley) Dennis; grandchildren: Brian, Dan, Loren, Malanie and Samantha; great grandchildren: Adyson, Keegan, Colt, Willow and Christian.

Visitation Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 1:00 - 9:00 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home.

Funeral Services at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 8, 2019 with Pastor Warren Hoffman officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery Fairview, MI.
