Mr. Albert W. Goldsmith, 82, of Rose City, MI passed away Monday, January 15th, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center.
Visitation Thursday 1-9 PM. at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio with funeral services at 10:00 AM on Friday, January 19th, with Minister Frank Beek officiating. Interment at Marble Park Cemetery, Milan, MI.
Albert was born on Sept, 21, 1924 in Montmorency County to Joseph & Lola (McIntire) Goldsmith
He was a retired Line Assembly Worker at Ford Motor Company, Ypsilanti Plant, retiring in 1974. He was a member of Mio Church of Christ Mio, MI and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bird watching, playing games and gardening. He also raised and sold chickens and repaired and sold lawnmowers.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife Gail I. (Voakes) Goldsmith; daughters: Nadine (David) Dake of West Branch; Betty (Greg) Zombaris of Livonia and Lynette Goldsmith of Portsmouth, Ohio; Sister: Helen Smith and brother: William Goldsmith both of Comins. He is also survived by 8 grandsons, and 3 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson and many cousins.
Albert was preceded in death by his first wife Erma (Borders) Goldsmith, son Robert Goldsmith, parents Joseph & Lola Goldsmith and brothers: Lawrence, Manford and John Goldsmith.
