Adam J. Byler, born March 4, 1966, in Warren, Ohio, passed away on March 14, 2025, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, at the young age of 59 after a courageous battle with blood cancer.
Adam grew up in Mio, MI. He had a innate curiosity from a young age. He was a dedicated construction project superintendent, leaving his mark on significant projects, including the completion of the Cog Railroad up Pikes Peak Mountain and the new fire suppression system at the Eisenhower Tunnel. His work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident in every project he undertook.
Outside of work, Adam found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fixing engines, mountain riding, camping, and he was a great host and cook and enjoyed smoking and grilling a variety of food. His love for the great outdoors and his knack for working with his hands were well-known among family and friends.
Adam is preceded in death by his parents, Joe A. Byler and Barbara S. Byler, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
He is survived by his partner, Alyssa Lavigne; children, Chelsea Fuchs, Daniel Byler, and Kendra Hullett (Mitchell Hullett); brothers, Henry Byler (Rachel Byler), Joseph Byler (Emma Byler), sisters, Ruth Schmucker (Abe Schmucker), Katie Byler (Travis Rode.) His legacy will go on in his 5 grandchildren with an expected 6th. He leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his warmth and humor.
Services to honor Adam’s life will be held with a viewing at the Kittle Shop 711 W. Kittle Road Mio, MI, on Sunday, March 23rd, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place at the same location on Monday, March 24th, at 10:00 AM, followed by burial at Kittle Cemetery.
Adam J. Byler will be remembered for his hard work, love of family, and zest for life. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
