Ada M. Stagg

Ada M. Stagg, age 96 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Friday, June 21, 2024.

Ada was born in Titusville, Florida on December 8, 1927, to Ernest and Mertie (Simons) Seymour. She moved to Glennie, Michigan at the age of 7. Ada married Richard Stagg on June 28, 1947, in Glennie. The couple lived in Flint for a time, then moved back to Glennie before settling in Mio in 1967. Ada had attended the Faith Baptist Church in Mio. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, reading, and flower gardening.

Ada is survived by her children: Darwin Stagg of Mio, MI; Sharon Woodrum of Mt. Morris, MI; and LaNette (Gerald) Bittner of Romeo, MI; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Richard; her son Dennis Stagg; her sisters: Ernestine Crandal, Esther Ferris, and Mary Picklesimer; and her brothers: Ervin Seymour and Everett Seymour.

Visitation on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 3 – 8 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI. There will also be visiting on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 12 Noon until Funeral Services at 1 PM with Pastor Jay Gilchrist officiating. Interment will follow at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
