Rusty Douglas Jacobs, age 50, currently of Mio, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006 at Grayling Mercy Hospital. Visitation Monday, Dec. 4, 2006 11:00 AM until the time of Funeral Services at 1:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with Pastor Russell Bowman of The Mio New Hope Assembly of God Church, officiating. Military Honors offered by The Luzerne American Legion Post # 162. Interment at Luzerne Cemetery. Rusty was born Sept. 30, 1956 in Monroe, MI. He served in The US army during the Vietnam Era and was an honorary Boy Scout Leader. Surviving are his 4 sons: Kenneth F. Fritz and David L. Fritz both of Mio, MI, Mark Jacobs of Coldwater and Rusty Rutherford of Arkansas. 1 daughter: Melany Metzger of Grand Rapids, MI; 4 brothers: Ed Roe and Thomas Jacobs of Clayton, MI, Herb Warner of Arkansas and Donald Jacobs of Coldwater, MI; 2 sisters: Roberta Ritchey and Sheila Cole both of Mio. 8 loving grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Charlotte R. Jacobs and adoptive dad Donald D. Jacobs, Sr. and 2 brothers: Jeffery and Daniel Roe.
