Stephen "Steve" Welch, age 47, of Luzerne, passed away unexpectedly, Sunday, August 19, 2012.
Steve was born on January 30, 1965 in Pontiac, MI to the late Robert and Barbara (Klump) Welch. 
He worked as heavy machine operator for Asplundh and loved hunting and snowmobiling.
Surviving are his loving wife of 23 years, Beverly Bilbey, children Patrick and Jason Bilbey, 9 grandchildren,  brother: Dave (Tammy) Thomas; sister: Debbie (Bill) Gonzales; nieces and nephews: Jenna, Dayna, Sirena, Kane, Alexis and David; grand nieces and nephews Maria, Elayna, Carter and Kia.
Visitation Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 11:00 AM until the time of funeral Services at 2:00 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio with Reverend Glynn McMorris, of the Mio Baptist Church, officiating. In accordance with Steve's wishes, cremation will follow the funeral service.
