Mrs. Marjorie Lillian Emery, age 94, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13th, 2012. Marjorie was born on September 21st, 1917 to Emil and Mary Orinda Matson and was one of 13 children. She attended school in Saginaw, Michigan and married Emerson H. Emery  on February 13th,  1937.  Marge and Em resided in Flint, Michigan and were blessed with two sons and a marriage of 34 years. Marge and Em enjoyed driving up north to "God's Country" and spending time at their cabin in McKinley.  After Emerson's death she later married Arthur Clapp. In 2007, Marjorie moved to Fairview where she enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards and pampering her cat, Bootsy.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husbands, Emerson Emery and Arthur Clapp, her four brothers, and 6 of her 8 sisters. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law, Ronald & Pamela Emery of Port Sanilac and John & Cassy Emery of Fairview, 8  grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Grandma enjoyed being the life of the party, laughed often and could name each one of her 8 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  She never failed to let her sons know they were the love of her life.
Marjorie's body was laid to rest on Monday, April 16th, next to Emerson at the Oak Grove cemetery in South Branch, Mi.
A 1:00 PM Memorial Service will be held in her honor on Saturday, April 21st at the Mio Church of God.
