Sandra J. Virga, age 62, of Fairview, MI formerly of Dearborn, MI, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2012 at her home.Sandra was born on Feb 9, 1949 in Detroit and raised in Dearborn. She married Harry on April 27, 1968 in Detroit. She was a homemaker who had also worked for Sears Department Store and ACE Hardware in Dearborn. The couple retired to Fairview in 2005, where Sandra was a member of the Comins Eagles Club, the Mio Moose Lodge, and the Fairview/Comins Lions Club. Sandra and Harry enjoyed tractors: they were members of the AuSable Valley Engine Thrashers Club, with which they participated in the Buckley Old Engine Show. Sandra also enjoyed wood burning, wood carving, sewing, kayaking, fishing, and hunting.Surviving are her husband Harry of Fairview, MI; her mother Alta Booth of Ann Arbor, MI; her children: Cam (David) Brown of Williamston, MI; and Christopher (Shelley) Virga of Dearborn, MI; and her grandchildren: Devin, Caitlin, Dakota, Dillon, Dalton, and Trenton. She is also survived by her sisters: Brenda (Leo) Nicholas of Apollo Beach, FL; and Sharon (Donald) Stein of Manchester, MI. She was preceded in death by her father: Jennings Floyd Booth.In accordance with Sandra’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at The Mio Moose Lodge, 1631 Ryno Road (M-72) Luzerne, MI 48636, on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 5:00 PM.Memorial donations may be made to the Fairview/Comins Lions Club, the Comins Eagles Aerie #3544, or to the Mio Moose Lodge.Arrangements by Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI.
