Condolence Messages
You know how close Gene and I were over the years and since my retirement. Though we moved to Kalamazoo some 250 miles away, we conversed often via phone. Gene was a special person to me: an excellent supervisor, a trusted advisor, a go-to guy who knew what to do when a "Mr. Fix-it" was needed (which included inventing new solutions & parts), a coffee buddy, a "check the roads" partner, and he had a fondness for country music (played in the bus garage) which stirred my interest in same.
Gene came to Mio AuSable from a dealership in Tawas upon the recommendation of our State Police Bus Inspector. I then called Gene in the fall of 1986; we talked - and the rest is history.
Connie thank you for sharing Gene with us and I am so grateful for the conversations you and I have had.
I'm confident God and your family are very comforting to you.
God Bless,
