Catherine L. Miller, age 82, of Fairview, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at The Home at AuSable Valley Community in Fairview.  
Catherine was born on August 24, 1928 to Elmer and Mary (Keim) Ropp in Bay Port, Michigan.  She married Lotis Miller on August 27, 1955 in Pigeon, Michigan.  The couple settled in Fairview, where Catherine worked as a bookkeeper in their excavating company, Fairview Sand and Gravel.  She was also a full-time wife, mother, and homemaker.  Catherine was a member of the Fairview Mennonite Church, and also was a member of the Ladies' Sewing Circle.  She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint.
Surviving are her 2 children: Gail Hoppe and Kent Miller; 5 grandchildren:  Kayla, Amanda, Dustin, Erica and Aaron; her sisters: Carolyn (Charles) Moyer and Grace (John) Blair; her brothers: Duane (Elaine) Ropp, Harold (Mildred) Ropp and Leon (Patsy) Ropp. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Lotis B. Miller and her brothers: Elmer and Lyle Ropp.
Visitation Monday, October 18, 2010 from 12:00 Noon until the time of funeral service at 2:00 PM at the Fairview Mennonite Church with Pastors Eldon Krider and Virgil Hershberger officiating. Interment at Fairview Cemetery.
