Mrs. Dawn Harriet Smith, 84, of Fairview passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on Sunday, September 12th, 2010 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community, Fairview, Michigan.
Dawn was born in Fostoria, Michigan on August 30, 1926, the daughter of the late Francis (Johnson) Timothy Thomas.
Dawn was a long time resident of Oscoda County; a  home maker who loved to cook, knit and tend to her garden.  Dawns more precious moments was spending time with her family or when people would stop by to visit.
She is survived by her son Carl Profrock; sister Audrey Wilcox; half sister Marge Wright; 6 grandchildren: Edwin Smith, James Smith, Anita Fox, Samantha Smith, Jesseca Profrock and Kacey Profrock; 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Lenoard Profrock; second husband Harold J. Smith; 2 daughters: Marie Fox and Gail Baker; sister Jo Broker and brother Harold "Pete" Thomas.
Dawn will always be greatly loved and dearly missed!
According to her wishes cremation has taken place. As a member of The Mio Church of God, Mio, Michigan, a Memorial Service will be held there in her honor at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 18th, with Pastor Mike Stadelmayer officiating.
