Sterley Edward DeVault, born March 29, 1940, passed on to our Lord on June 29, 2010, age 70.  Sterley “Ed” is survived by his wife Glemmatean “Rita” DeVault; his children:  Lance DeVault of Waterford, MI; and Carl DeVault of Clarkston, MI; his stepchildren:  Joan Lawrence (Gregg) of Mio, MI; Diane Thompson (Gary) of Waterford, MI; Barbara DeCapo of White Lake, MI; Bonnie Shaub of White Lake, MI; and William Shehorn (Michelle) of Kellar, TX; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his siblings:  Wes (Marylou) DeVault of Auburn Hills, MI; Gary (Barbara) DeVault of Holly, MI; Phyllis (Everett) Spencer of Maryland; Lottie (Richard) Green of Maryland; Vera (Paul) Gertman of White Lake, MI; Linda DeVault Fleming of Ohio; sister-in-law Ursula DeVault of Madison Heights, MI; Joanne DeVault of Roscommon, MI; and Nadjerene (Ed) Pankey of Azle, TX.  Sterley was preceded in death by his parents:  James and Ida (Bettinger) DeVault; and his brothers:  Ray DeVault and James DeVault.  Sterley will be missed by several friends.  The family would like to acknowledge a very close friend, Bernita (James) Hawes of Lapeer, MI.  Sterley was a member of the Oscoda County Cruisers car club, and was an avid car enthusiast.  
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010, from 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, Michigan.  Funeral Services will take place on Friday, July 2, 2010, at 3 PM also at Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, MI, with Reverend Glynn McMorris of the Mio Baptist Church officiating.  Sterley’s final resting place will be at Kittle Cemetery, Mio, MI.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sterley DeVault Memorial Fund c/o Citizen’s Bank, 211 N. Morenci, Mio, Michigan  48647.
