Esther Hoover Esther Hoover, 97, of Fairview, died Sunday, June 17th, 2007 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community. Visitation Tuesday 12:00 Noon - until the time of Funeral Service 3:00 PM at The Lashley Funeral Home, Mio, with Pastor John Manning officiating. Mausoleum Entombment at Curlew Hills Memorial Gardens, Palm Harbor, Florida. Esther was born on Nov. 12, 1909 in Fairfield, IL to the late Galloway & Ida (Merritt) Bowman. She married Robert H. Hoover on Aug 23, 1930 in Toledo, Ohio. The couple raised their family in the Detroit area and moved to Dunedin, FL , where they lived for 17 years before returning to Michigan and settling in Comins in 1991. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Surviving are her daughter: Ava (Frank) Davis of Comins, MI; son: Dennis (Marilyn) Hoover of Howell, MI; sister: Rachael Werner of Fairfield, ILL and dear sister in law: Adaleen Hoover of Livonia, MI. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert H. Hoover in 1999.
