Helen Caroline Richardson, 84, of Mio, MI passed away Wednesday, March 31st, 2010 at The Home at AuSable Valley Community. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes at a later date at Parkview Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan. Helen was born in Melvindale, Michigan on July 31, 1925, to Charles and Ann (Johnston) Whitehead. She married William Richardson on March 10, 1944 in Detroit, Michigan. Helen settled in Mio in 1998 from Taylor and was an avid bingo and card player. Helen is survived by two daughters, Judith (Don) Honeycutt of Mio, MI and Jeri (Dan) O'Neill of Brownstown, MI; and her brother Leonard Whitehead of Belleville, MI. She is also survived by 2 grandchildren: Nick (Lana) Honeycutt of Trenton, MI; and Darla Williams of Brownstown, MI; 3 great-grandchildren: Brenden, Brooke, and Isabella Honeycutt; her daughter-in-law Marie Richardson of Taylor, MI; and her "beloved friend" Patty (Tony) Rivera of Mio, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, her son Derek Richardson, and her daughter Darla Richardson.
