Virginia A. (Ginny) Abbe, age 65, of Comins, MI, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Mercy Hospital in Grayling, MI.
Virginia was born on July 3, 1946 to William J. and Edith C. (Ball) Richway in Pontiac, Michigan.  She was raised in the Pleasant Valley Area, between Atlanta and Hillman. Virginia graduated from Alpena Cosmetology School.  She married Virgil Abbe, Sr. and the family lived in Comins, MI.  Virginia worked at The AuSable Valley Nursing Home in Fairview in Food Service, retiring in 2010 after 25 years of service. She had attended the Comins Mennonite Church.and enjoyed gardening, bike riding, and walking.
Surviving are her daughter Narcy (Ken) Jewell of Comins, MI; her  granddaughter Courtney (Eric) Kucharski; one expected great grandchild; her companion Albert Frank; her brothers and sisters:  Billie Jean (George) Bowman, John Richway, Robert (Rosita) Richway, Mary Ann (Joe) Burke, and Linda Mae (Steve) Barnett; 2 aunts: Dorothy Niedling and Della Mae (Robert) Capps; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Virgil D. Abbe, Sr.;  her son Virgil D. Abbe, Jr.; and her in-laws:  Arnold and Veronica Abbe.
Visitation Friday, January 6, 2012 from 12 Noon -2:00 PM at the Comins Mennonite Church, with Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Salsbury officiating.  Interment will take place in Spring, 2012 at Loud Township Cemetery.
